Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit. A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.

Woow summer again, and I found out that it has been over a year since I last wrote something in my blog. And what a year it has been. Most people would excuse themselves with the word “busy” but to be honest, was I really too busy to write something? No, I just didn’t, either I didn’t felt like it or I just wasn’t inspired to do so. Today I thought well lets at least write something and try to pick up again where I left off…..

This summer is a mix of very warm weather and colder days but also long dry spells or massive rain and thundershowers. Not that I notice much of it as most of the time I am sitting indoors working, be it night or dayshifts. But when I do, I really do. The summer days that are warm and sunny are a blessing for the soul and the body, less when one has to work in the garden or has to carry heavy objects…. Even walking to work was a sweaty thing lately. But be honest, it really puts a smile on your face. It does to me, until I notice the sticky afternoon heat and the fact that the bedroom is far from fresh, even after all attempts of keeping the sun out as much as possible. The heat is there and is not going anywhere, the mobile air-conditioning unit needs at least 3 hours to get the room back to a nice temperature, cool enough to sleep..

But, I am still carrying a smile everyday the sun shines, it just has this magical effect on me. Looking in the mirror I notice nothing has changed from yesterday since I last looked, but stepping outside, somehow I lost at least 5 kilo and look great!!! The diet must be working great lately, does it while you sleep??? Summer changes a lot, from bank account to skin tone. The world seems to be a better place indeed. Watching the news channels the world seems to be the same, the bad things are still happening, but once outside the front door, birds are singing all is green even the cow in the field seems to be smiling. Young animals are playing in the field and all seems to be ok.

I can only hope that summer never ever really changes for me, I love natures excuse to for a few weeks a year feel good, about my self and about the world….
